you may have already answered this here or elsewhere but you mentioned with poser users if they have version 3 they have to uninstall it before installing 4, but what about daz 2.5 do we have to install that before installing 4 or will we just have to install 4 and that will that take care of it itself
also watched the create your own projector video where you used an image of heavenly sword which was pretty cool which made me wonder by doing that can we use our own photos can we use them as backgrounds blending them with our created scenes/characters realistically like hdr backgrounds?

You can use Reality 2.5 and Reality at the same time. About the BG photos, of course you can. Select "Transparent BG" in the Render tab and then compose your BG in Photoshop.
